Gibbons buys, and sells, John Lennon's stamp album
IN an acquisition that covers its two main activities, stamps
and autographs, Stanley Gibbons, bought John Lennon’s stamp
album in May ... Lennon’s hardcover Mercury Stamp Album dates
from about 1950, when he was ten years old. It is inscribed on
the flyleaf with his name and address ‘John Lennon, 251 Menlove
Avenue, Woolton, Liverpool’ and signed again ‘John
Lennon’ in blue ballpoint pen further down the page.

London 2010 at BDC
LONDON'S next decennial international stamp exhibition is to
be held at the Business Design Centre on May 8 to 15 2010. Its

STANLEY Gibbons reports that the prices of rare stamps continue
to rise strongly.
The seventh anniversary of the Stanley Gibbons GB 30 Rarities
Index, which coincides with the publication of the 2005 edition
of its Concise Great Britain catalogue, shows the stamp market
to be in very good health ...
