Christmas stamps in many
and varied formats
THIS year’s six Christmas stamps from Royal Mail, which
have a combined face value of £3.27, feature a grumpy Father
Christmas taking to the rooftops, in typical wintry weather conditions.
Designed by cartoonist Raymond Briggs, the stamps show his curmudgeonly,
but cuddly, creation back on the arduous Christmas Eve ‘night
shift’. They will be issued on November 2.
The six stamps, shown here, are denominated 2nd (21p), 1st (28p),
40p, 57p, 68p, and £1,12. They were gravure-printed by De
La Rue Security Print on self-adhesive paper.
In addition to the usual presentation packs and stamp cards, the
stamps are also obtainable in different sheet and booklet formats.
Details
of these Christmas issue products can be found in the November
2004 'Philatelic Exporter'.
