Troughs and peaks
All around us there is doom and gloom predicted for the UK economy. The global credit crunch is having severe effects on the availability of mortgages ... There is a squeeze on public spending ... A slough of financial despond is truly omnipresent. However, it seems that GB stamps are oblivious to all these trends, particularly at auction, where prices continue to rise steeply. Some of the realisations at Grosvenor’s November auction were absolutely startling ...

Respect the elderly - they could be your future!
Based on my reading of an article by database marketing expert Richard N Tooker, today’s philatelic market should be geared to seniors. In the US, a senior is an individual who is 60 years of age or older which, I think, is true throughout the world. The seniors have the intellect, the time, and the money to buy stamps, coins, and other collectables ...
