April 10: an important new discovery will feature in this public auction
- an 1850 Great Britain Consort perforated essay in blue. It was previously
believed that there were only two known examples (one in the Royal Collection,
the other in the Post Office Heritage Services).

DEAR Ken - I always looked forward to his articles in the PE, he never

was 'Watchman' at Stamp Collecting for many years – and presumably
also a tipster for other journals (one can recognise the style whatever
the pseudonym) ...

I'm sure, like me, many people will miss his not-to-be missed wit and always
